Cove Point Winery
Cove Point Winery is a small micro-winery located in Southern Maryland's Calvert County town of Lusby. The winery is located about 6 miles north of Solomons Island and just a short distance from Cove Point Lighthouse -Maryland's oldest operational lighthouse. Cove Point Winery is the first licensed and bonded winery in Southern Maryland - Calvert County. As such, we obtain grapes and juice from local growers here in Southern Maryland, as well as from other sources.

In 1972, amidst rolling hills, dairy cows, and cornfields, a small vineyard was planted in the fertile soils of an old dairy farm. That one small vineyard has proudly become Linganore Winecellars. Now operated by the founder's children, we welcome you to share in our growing family tradition.

Olney Winery
Our winery concept came from the musings of a small group of close-knit family members and friends while sitting on Winery President Joe McCall’s front porch in nearby Silver Spring. Our official business license still bears the name Front Porch Micro Winery, LLC.
Our Tasting Room opened in Olney in September 2012 as The Winery at Olney, but we recently changed our name to Olney Winery. We hope that when you hear the name Olney you will think about our wines, not just the wonderful town. The same goes for when you see our signature wine stain.

Known throughout the community lovingly as Lorie and other Laurie these two women pair together like a good wine and a good meal. They approach their business professionally, passionately, respectfully and with a willingness to assist the Community of Washington County as they can.
They have been honored to be selected the 2023 Hagerstown Hot List Winner for Best Winery/Distillery. Humbled to be among 2 of the Washington County Women 35 Doers, Dreamers and Encouragers (along with fellow business partner and SHUW woman, Melissa Peters!). They were thrilled to participate as Hospice Celebrity Waiters for Hospice of Washington County alongside friends from Saunders Tax and Accounting Bev Stitely and Steven Stitely. Proud members of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce and BNI – the Elite Alliance Masters.
